background: CCDC65 is a sperm tail protein that is posttranslationally modified during sperm capacitation (Zheng et al., 2006 [PubMed 17089017]).[supplied by OMIM, Mar 2008]. Tissue Specificity: Highly expressed in adult testis, in spermatocytes and spermatids. Also observed in spermatogonia. Not detected in Leydig cells, nor in fetal testis (at protein level).
