Complexes with metalloproteinases (such as collagenases) and irreversibly inactivates them by binding to their catalytic zinc cofactor. Known to act on MMP-1, MMP-2, MMP-3, MMP-7, MMP-8, MMP-9, MMP-10, MMP-13, MMP-14, MMP-15, MMP-16 and MMP-19. SWISS: P16035 Gene ID: 7077 合成與降解（Synthesis and Degradation） TIMP-2與TIMP-1一樣是基質(zhì)金屬蛋白酶的抑制酶，其功能與MMP相反，能抑制腫瘤細胞的浸潤和轉(zhuǎn)移，主要用于各種惡性腫瘤如乳腺癌等的研究。TIMP-2又稱為CSC-21K，是一種21-24kDa的糖蛋白，在多種組織細胞中表達，它可以和MMPs家族成員以共價鍵方式形成復(fù)合物，從而發(fā)揮其抑制作用。在正常生理條件下，MMPs和TIMPs之間的平衡狀態(tài)是維持細胞外基質(zhì)正常狀態(tài)所必需的，一旦它們之間的比例失調(diào)，就會造成一系列的病理狀態(tài)。 |
